A Dogs Guide to Fort Collins

A Dogs Guide to Fort Collins Here in The Fort we love our pups! No matter where we go, we like to bring along our four-legged family members. Fort Collins is a fantastic city for dog owners, so I have sniffed out the best dog-friendly establishments for all your doggie needs so you can keep your furry friend’s tail wagging.

Places to let them run free Do you have a pooch with tons of energy to burn? Fort Collins is home to multiple off-leash dog parks that are pawsitively great places for pet socializing and proper puppy behavior training, not to mention ideal areas for letting Fido roam free!

A popular one is Spring Canyon Dog Park which offers completely fenced doggie freedom. Spring Canyon Dog Park includes play structures such as cement tubes and a large pond as well as a dedicated small dog area. The surface is mainly dirt and gravel. There are picnic tables and benches and human and doggie water fountains and waste stations. The busy times are 8:00 am-10:00 am and 5:00 pm to close. Visit Website

Soft Gold Dog Park is an off-leash dog park which features plenty of space for dogs to run along with shaded areas and water. Visit Website

Snag specialty toys, treats, and food After a long day of running through the woods, exploring trails, and playing fetch, your sweet pup deserves a treat! Take them for a stroll through some of Fort Collins doggie shops where leashed animals are always welcome.

Wagz Pet Market has a plethora of products and services for your furry friend. Stop in with your pup and pick up a bone, an ear, or whatever it is that your special k-9 prefers! https://www.wagzcolorado.com/

Poudre Pet & Feed Supply also offers a variety of products & services including a self-serve dog wash. Bring in your k-9 for a bubbly retreat (and maybe an actual treat) for a happy end to a day at the dog park! https://poudrefeed.com/

Eating out While Colorado state law does not allow pets inside certain establishments, including restaurants, there are plenty of places that will happily serve you and your pooch on their dog-friendly patios. These delicious eateries all offer a delightful al fresco experience for you and your dog. “Bone” Appétit! Wild Boar Restaurant: Located in a charming 1924 bungalow-style home with an old world atmosphere and dog-friendly outdoor seating. Popular menu options include Belgian waffles, biscuits and chorizo gravy, egg and potato burritos, French dip sandwiches, BBQ pork sliders, and pita pizza. Open 7am to 10pm daily.Visit Website

New Belgium Brewing Company's tasting room, is the place to go if you want to savor a wide variety of year-round, small batch, or seasonal beers in the company of Fido. Bring Fido and enjoy tasters or pints or fill up a growler. Dogs are not permitted on tours, but are welcome to join you in the tasting room provided they are leashed and well-behaved.Visit Website

The Colorado Room is a Fort Collins staple with craft beer and gourmet bar bites. There are a few outdoor tables with dog-friendly seating and even some water bowls for Fido. The Colorado Room is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 12am and Friday through Saturday from 11am to 2am.Visit Website
