The Fourth of July is right around the corner! This beloved summer holiday is packed with exciting, family-friendly festivities in the form of parades, concerts, 5Ks, fireworks shows, and other patriotic events.
And after taking a year or two off, our community is gearing up for an extra exciting lineup of Fourth of July events throughout Northern Colorado, from the heart of Fort Collins all the way to Estes Park. Celebrate our nation’s independence at one of these can’t-miss community events!
THE GREELEY STAMPEDE JUNE 23RD - JULY 4TH

Celebrate the Fourth — and the days leading up to it — at the Greeley Stampede, which is celebrating its 100th year in 2022! Over the course of 12 days, enjoy a variety of family-friendly attractions and special events, including Carnival Americana, Kids Korral, outdoor music stages, multiple parades, the Western Art Show, fireworks, rodeo tours and more. On July 4th, the fun increases with a Demolition Derby in the afternoon and fireworks filling the sky above Island Grove Park beginning at 9:30 p.m. To see the full schedule, click here.
CITY OF FORT COLLINS CELEBRATION JUNE 23RD - JULY 4TH
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the City of Fort Collins is back with their much-anticipated Independence Day Celebration, with events planned all day long on Saturday, July 2. The day kicks off with the Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament and Firecracker 5K at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Independence Day Parade along Mountain Avenue, with more activities throughout the afternoon. And the day concludes with a fireworks show over Sheldon Lake at 9:35 p.m.! Most of the activities are taking place around City Park — click here for more details about the day’s events.

AVERY HOUSE OLD FASHIONED 4TH OF JULY JUNE 2ND 10 AM - 2 PM

Step back in time with the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July at the 1879 Avery House on July 2! This event coincides with the city’s Fourth of July Parade, which runs along Mountain Avenue in front of the property. This fun family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, old-fashioned games like croquet and a bean bag toss, crafts, tours of the Avery House, and more. Admission is completely free!
LOVELAND LIBERTY 5K JUNE 4th 8 AM
Hosted by Sweetheart City Racing, the Loveland Liberty 5K is back in 2022! Runners will take off from Fairgrounds Park promptly at 8 a.m., with the Elite wave (>24-minute 5K for men and >26-minute 5K for women) starting at 8:45 a.m. And returning this year, the kids’ race is a 100-yard course designed for toddlers through elementary-aged children. More than 1,500 runners are expected and proceeds go to a local veteran group, High Plains Honor Flight. Register here to participate!
TOWN OF WELLINGTON 4TH OF JULY All Day

The Town of Wellington sure knows how to celebrate the holiday — with a full day of festivities taking place throughout town on the Fourth. The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Filling Station from 7–10 a.m., followed by a community parade on Cleveland Avenue. And from 11 a.m.–5 p.m., there will be a festival at Wellington Community Park, featuring a car show, a vendor fair, food trucks, live music, kids’ games and activities, a public safety display, and more. TIMNATH 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION July 4th, 6 PM
Timnath residents are invited to the town’s annual 4th of July Celebration at Timnath Reservoir. Enjoy live entertainment, a variety of family activities, and delicious eats from local food trucks. Free activities include face painting, bubble play, a single bungee trampoline, an inflatable obstacle course, a dual lane slide, a bungee run, and a hippo tug and dunk! The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with live music from Johnny and the Mongrels followed by Atomic Fusion Initiative. Stick around for the spectacular fireworks show over the reservoir starting at 9:30 p.m.!
